About us

Our founder and core physiotherapist, Jess, first qualified in Physiotherapy (Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Honours) in South Africa in 2014. Over the past 11 years, she has worked in various rehabilitation spaces, including neuro rehabilitation and paediatric therapy, across South Africa and Australia. Jess is also a mom to two little girls and enjoys visiting the beach with her family, swimming in the ocean, and indulging in a good coffee!

Jess has worked with clients from ICU through to home and community integration providing physiotherapy services. She has worked across a few scopes, including acute neurology, orthopaedics, and respiratory roles, but has primarily focused on her skills and knowledge in neuro rehabilitation for both adults and children. In recent years, she has concentrated on paediatric therapy, deepening her understanding and experience in the intensive model of therapy, as well as utilizing therapeutic tools such as the Universal Exercise Unit, whole body vibration, and integrating different assistive technology and postural orthoses into therapy sessions and home or school settings.

Jess has completed further training and courses while working over the past years in the field of neuro rehabilitation and paediatric therapy. Please see these below: 

Dynamic Movement Intervention - Introductory Level A and B, Typical Child Development - Australian Bobath Neuro-Developmental Therapy Association, a basic course on evaluation and treatment of adults with neurological conditions - Bobath, training in basic wheelchair seating, and mentoring with experienced paediatric therapists both in South Africa and in Australia.
